What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is the practice of inserting needles through the skin into specific acupoints to stimulate the immune and neurological systems to help the body heal itself. The goal of acupuncture is the restore balance within the body to optimize health.
The ancient Chinese describe multiples types of Qi (Chi) which moved along channels in the body and facilitated all the essential body functions.
Before the modern diagnostics available to us now, the ancient Chinese used herbal preparations, acupuncture and Tui-na to heal their patients. This system is known as Traditional Chinese Medicine and when used in veterinary species is called Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.

How Long before I see results?
It depends!
Dr Bradley recommends 3-5 treatments initially. While most people will see a difference after the first treatment, repeat treatments will improve the outcome. After that, most cases will be much improved and may only require maintenance appointments. Once the body's balance has been restored, acupuncture can help maintain it!
